More
than 400 music students and their families will gather for the 45th
annual American Suzuki Institute this summer at the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Hosted
by the Aber Suzuki Center at UW-Stevens Point, the institute is held July 19
through Aug. 1. It offers one or two weeks of musical immersion study.
Forty-eight Suzuki method teachers from 14 states and Canada will lead
workshops, and 130 teachers from throughout the country will attend to learn
how to share the method. Participants will take classes in a variety of
instruments as well as voice.
The
public is invited to a variety of performances, from guest soloists to student
ensembles. The following concerts are free of charge:
