Jim Carpenter

ADJUNT FACULTY

Jim Carpenter received the BMus. degree from Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York, majoring in choral music education and voice, and the MMus. in choral conducting from UW-Madison, where he studied with the late Robert Fountain.

In addition to his teaching at UWSP, Jim is the Artistic Director/Conductor of the Monteverdi Master Chorale, a 65-voice ensemble based in Stevens Point. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the International Federation for Choral Music, and the College Music Society, and has served on the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association.
