STUDIO THEATRE

Studio Theatre offers 150 seats in a completely flexible black-box style stage. The audience/stage configuration evolves on a show by show basis. Elaborate sound and lighting systems permit students to work on sophisticated productions in a physically intimate space.

Lighting

The principal components of the lighting system in Studio Theatre are:

• Control: ETC Emphasis server with Expression 3 faceplate, Remote focus unit
• Dimmers: 136 2.4kW Sensor dimmers
• Approximately 350 instruments shared between the two theatres

Sound

The sound system in the Studio Theatre consists of a portable control rack that can be connected to the remainder of the system in either the control booth or any of 4 plug in panels located on each of the 4 walls of the theatre.

The portable rack consists of:

  • Gateway M680 Notebook running SFX ProAudio/ShowControl software
