Amy P. Ferrara
Amy P. Ferrara, Design & Technology, 1993, is an Event Manager for Cal Performances at the University of California, Berkeley. Cal Performances is one of the world's largest presenters of the performing arts including all forms of music, dance and theater. As an Event Manager, Amy is responsible for advancing all production and artistic needs of the performers and touring companies including audio, lighting, audio/visual, merchandise, hospitality & catering, transportation, overall stage management and any day-of show needs. Favorite artists and productions have included Circus Oz, Angelique Kidjo, Sonny Rollins, Laurie Anderson, NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me," and the dance companies of Alvin Ailey, Pina Bausch, and Merce Cunningham, to name a few.
Amy is also primarily responsible for the operation and management of the historic William Randolph Hearst Greek Theatre on the Berkeley campus which opened in 1903. The theatre is host to numerous campus events and graduations, as well as popular music concerts throughout the summer. Favorites here have included R.E.M., Steely Dan, Dolly Parton, Beastie Boys, Dave Matthews Band and His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
