Treehaven Information
Treehaven is a residential natural resources education and conference facility located between Rhinelander and Tomahawk. Owned and operated by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, College of Natural Resources. Treehaven rests on a glacial ridge overlooking 1,400 acres of forest and wetlands.
The Telephone Support Office provides Treehaven with telephone services.
24-Hour Emergency Telephone
An emergency telephone is available 24-hours a day. It is located in room
103 of the Vallier Lodge. This is a restricted telephone which requires an
authorization code for long distance and international calls. Local,
extended community, toll-free, 911 and calling card calls are free.
Authorization Code
Restricted telephones at Treehaven require the use of an
authorization code. Restricted telephone locations include all living
center rooms, classrooms, and room 103 Vallier Lodge.
An authorization code is a unique 7-digit number that allows you to dial direct anywhere in the world. All calls made using this code are billed directly to you. By using your code, you accept responsibility for all charges. Treat it like a credit card. Keep it in a secure location. DO NOT share it with anyone. To obtain a code, or cancel a code, click on the "Forms/Work Orders" link on the left hand side of the screen.
Telephone Charges
The Treehaven telephone system is connected directly to the UWSP Telephone
Switch. The cost of calls placed from Treehaven are the same as if calling

Fax Service
Outgoing and incoming fax service is available in the main Treehaven
Office. The charge for sending a fax is $.10 per page.
An incoming fax is free. You will be called to pick up your fax. If not retrieved within three (3) days it will be discarded.

Hearing Impaired Information
Treehaven offers telecommunication devices for the deaf. For more
information, contact the main Treehaven Office at (715) 453-4106 (if calling
from the UWSP campus, dial 6315).
