Abbreviated Dialing
To store and "speed dial" frequently called off-campus numbers. Abbreviated dialing is not automatically installed on your telephone. Please call the Telephone Support Office to have this feature installed. The "speed dial" numbers are only accessible from your extension.
To program:
- Press [* 0].
- Dial the index number (1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) you wish to use. The index number acts as a location for the actual telephone number. You can program five (5) off-campus telephone numbers.
- Dial the complete number. If applicable, include area code (i.e. 9 + 1 + xxx + xxx + xxxx).
- Press # (hear a confirmation tone of 3 short beeps).
To use:
- Dial [* 7].
- Dial the index number. The index number acts as a location for the actual telephone number.
Note: If you require more than five (5) indexes, please call the Telephone Support Office.
