Frequently Asked Repair Questions:
Why does my phone give a 1/2-ring then go directly to
voicemail?
Your "SEND CALL" feature is activated. This feature sends all calls directly
to voicemail. To deactivate this feature, lift up your receiver and press [#
3]. If you have a digital telephone, deactivate the SEND CALLS button on
your abbreviated number pad.
I have a Cortelco 2210 phone but my caller ID display does
not work even though I have dial tone.
Check your power supply. Is it plugged in? The Cortelco 2210 phones require
a connection to a jack and to a power supply.
Why do callers receive a busy signal when I am in my office
but not on my phone?
If you have a Cortelco 2210 phone, you are missing a handset clip. Call the
Telephone Support Office at (715) 346-2562 to have the clip replaced.
Why do I have dial tone, but I cannot dial out?
If you have a Cortelco phone, check to see if the PULSE/TONE switch is at
the correct position of TONE.
I have a MSG button on my digital set (gray telephone), and
when I press it, I get the error message "message retrieval denied", and my
phone locks up?
This button does not retrieve messages. The phone will reset itself after a
period of 3-4 minutes.
