Dial
You can program a number on an Automatic Dialing (AD) button that has not
been assigned by the System Administrator. The Automatic Dialing number can
be up to 24 digits and characters.
Note: There is a 10-second time limit between going off-hook and
entering the first digit of an AD button. Then there is a 10-second time
limit between each digit. If you hear an intercept tone while you are
programming the button, you have exceeded the time limit and you must begin
again.
To program/reprogram an AD button:
- On a separate sheet of paper, write down the off-campus numbers,
extensions and/or feature access codes you want to program.
Note: Each AD button will hold one complete phone number or
feature access code.
- Pick up handset or press Spkr button.
- Press the Menu button.
- Press the softkey below the Prog button.
- Press the AD button to be programmed.
- Dial the off-campus number, extension, or feature access code you
want to store. You can store up to 24 digits.
Note: Be sure to dial "9" before off-campus numbers.
- Press #. Hear a confirmation tone of 3 short beeps. The number is
now stored.
- Repeat steps 4-6 to program additional buttons.
- Hang up to end programming.
To place an AD call:
- Press the desired AD button. The call is automatically dialed.
To program/reprogram a number into an AD Personal List:
- On a separate sheet of paper, write down the outside numbers,
extensions, and/or feature access codes you want to program as items on
your personal list(s).
Note: Each phone number or feature access code is stored as a separate
item.
- Pick up the handset or press the Spkr button.
- Dial [* 0] + [1].
- Dial the two-digit index number (01-15).
- Dial the complete number (i.e. 9 + 1 + xxx + xxx + xxxx).
- Press [#].
- Hear a confirmation tone of 3 short beeps.
- Repeat steps 5-7 if you want to program additional numbers.
- Hang up to end programming.
To place a call using the Personal AD List:
- Dial [* 7].
- Dial the two-digit index number (01-15).
