Name: Kimberly Marie Williams Email address: kwill752@uwsp.edu Hometown: Grand Marais, Minnesota (on Lake Superior, about 30 minutes from Canada and the boundary waters; hehe, aren't I lucky.) Year in school: Junior Major: General Resource Management Minor: Forestry Recreation Plan after graduation: Well right away to work for the Forest Service; but eventually I hope to become be a writer, or a journalist. Anticipated year of graduation: May 2008 Why you are interested in what you are interested in: I grew up in a small town and love the outdoors. For as long as I can remember, my Dad has been taking me fishing, hunting, or just simply outside to go for a hike. Consequently the outdoors have become my haven. I find a sense of serenity simply by being on a peaceful quiet lake in the middle of the woods, fishing with people I love. It’s also a great place to write, with no distractions. Past experiences/job: Forestry Technician (Silviculture) for the Superior National Forest up in Grand Marais, MN When you joined PRA: Fall of my junior year. Role in PRA: Secretary, and just recently Web Weaver! Favorite memory of PRA: Well that would have to be the Christmas party at Jeremy’s Dec. 2006. We had good food, good presents, good company, good laughs, and a good movie… can anyone ask for more!
