  Coyote Project

Location: Sandhill Wildlife Area (Babcock, WI) http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/Org/land/wildlife/reclands/sandhill/

Transportation: Project leaders are primary drivers, but volunteers may drive themselves

When: Most winter weekends second semester (snow-dependent); up to Friday afternoon through Sunday, or just go out for several hours one day

Volunteer Duties: Assist project leaders in looking for coyote sign

What to Bring: Sleeping gear for the Sandhill dorm, food for the weekend, warm clothing, binoculars, camera, homework (wireless internet available), appropriate footwear for hiking

What We Are Looking For: Coyote sign (tracks, scat, kills), possibly call surveys

Project Purpose: Population census for Sandhill, look at wintering habitat and diet selection
