Dr. Barta talked to BBB
about a symposium about plants and grad program introduction at the St. Paul
campus in Minnesota on Nov. 13th (Sat.). The program will begin at 10 am and
last until 2:15. It is free and there will be internship and work
opportunities available at the program. Lunch will be provided and there will
be small tour groups. If interested or if you would like more info, please
email Dr. Barta. If there is enough interest from the club we can make a field
trip out of the outing. There will also be info printed in the bio bulletin...
so look out for that. Please RSVP by the last week of Oct.
We have $700 in our
account. We decided to put $200-$250 into a research grant. We will set the
criteria after the BBB national office's form. We will have faculty as
reviewers. We will make it simple. The deadline for entering will be mid
November and it will be given next semester.
Hoot and Howl needs 60
volunteers. It will take place Fri. Oct. 22nd from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Please
contact Danny for more info at cwes@uwsp.edu or
call 715 824 2428.
There will be a
presidential debate supported by SGA in the encore Oct. 13th from 7-9 pm. The
issues are economic and domestic policy concerns.
Is there a preference
between Tue or Wed at 6 pm. Please let me know!
