SPTV GENERAL MEMBER SPOTLIGHT!

Every month of every year, SPtv's general members make running this station possible. Without the general members, there would be no shows, no news, and most importantly, no station. The support that SPtv receives each month from its general members is priceless, and some of the general members go above and beyond the call of duty and really shine! For this reason, SPtv's executive gives out a monthly "General Member Spotlight" to honor those General Members who are truly putting forth 110% towards STA value is required.V. Not only do they receive praise and recognition from the SPtv executive staff, but they also recieve a nifty prize. What will the prize be next month? Work hard, and you just might find out for yourself! Each month, there is one "Technical Excellence" award, and one "On-Air Excellence" award! Past winners are listed below!

Spotlight Awards for Fall '07 Semester

Cassie Lannoye

Technical Excellence Award

Even though this was Cassie's first semester at UWSP and helping out with SPtv, she came in with a huge desire to learn. She has been interested in every aspect of SPtv, and as a result ended up learning every technical position, helping with every show in almost every way possible. Cassie has been awarded this semester's Technical Excellence Award.

Marie Dicus

On-Air Excellence Award

All semester long, Marie has been helping out with every aspect of the news and other shows. All semester long, she has been doing a great job anchoring, and keeping a steady flow of news packages coming into SPtv News. Marie has been an extremely valuable member of SPtv's general staff, and for this, she has been rewarded this semester's On-Air Excellence Award.

Cassie Lannoye

Overall Excellence Award

Cassie has done a great job this last month in helping in almost every aspect of SPtv! She has helped on-air and with several technical aspects of SPtv, and has been a real team player, going above and beyond the call of duty for an SPtv general member! For this, Cassie Lannoye receives the Overall Excellence Award. Thank you Cassie!

Alex Foster

On-Air Excellence Award

This past month, one person has truly went above and beyond in the name of SPtv! Alex Foster is this person. He has helped with a number of shows and has kept us all entertained while doing it. On-air, he has really come through for us! For this, and several other reasons, Alex Foster receives this month's On-Air excellence award! Thank you Alex!

Ryan Santkuyl

Technical Excellence Award

When it comes to lending a hand with anything, Ryan Santkuyl is there to help. Whether it be anchoring the news, helping with technical aspects of SPtv original shows, or even helping with our annual bakesale, Ryan always is one of the first people to volunteer. For this and more, Ryan is awarded this month's Technical Excellence Award! Thank you!

On-Air Excellence Award

Marie Dicus has gone above and beyond the call of duty for a general member of SPtv, by creating news packages for use on SPtv News. The packages were done in a very professional manner, and their quality has helped SPtv News take the show to the next level. Marie can always be seen around the SPtv office, helping out in one way or another, and this is why we recognize her with a spotlight of the month award!

Lee Vaughter

Technical Excellence Award

Lee Vaughter has been working with SPtv in some way for the last 4 years straight, and this month, his technical skills were really useful at SPtv. Lee has helped with almost every aspect of SPtv News, and other shows, to try to keep the station running smoothly. Lee has worked at several positions, including on-air anchor, and for his dedication, we recognize him with this month's spotlight award.
