Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources

DNR Conservation Warden. Wisconsin wardens are among the best trained game wardens in the nation. Applicants must go through a rigorous hiring process and meet eligibility standards. Applicants no longer have to complete the 520 Hr Basic Law Enforcement Training prior to being hired.

	Law Enforcement Ranger. Visit the DNR and WILENET Websites for continuing updated summer hiring for both LTE Rangers & Maintenance/Laborers. The DNR LTE application is available for download at the top of this page.
	LTE Rangers must meet these standards and have the required law enforcement training before being hired. Full-time permanent applicants must complete the civil service exam for park ranger or manager positions to be considered for employment. Next anticipated civil service exam is April 2004.

Wisconsin State Patrol Homepage. State Patrol functions as a part of Wisconsin Dept of Transportation and is responsible for providing traffic safety and enforcement. Applicants are selective via civil service exam. Next anticipated hiring is set for 2005 for a 2006 recruit class.
