Officer Job Descriptions

President:

  • To preside over regular meeting.

  • To act as a liaison between the club members and the University faculty, staff, and student government.

  • Set up meeting times

  • Work with and provide guidance to the executive committee.

Vice-President

  • Set up Ad Hoc Committees.

  • To preside over committee meetings.

  • Assume responsibilities of the President if the President is unable to fulfill them.

  • Oversee membership.

  • Deal with members who violate club and University policies. 

Secretary

  • Responsible for any club correspondence.

  • Record minutes of the meetings.

  • Prepare and post agendas of upcoming meetings at least 1 day in advance of any meeting.

Treasurer

  • Maintain records of the financial accounts of the club.

  • Collect membership dues.

  • Oversee fund-raising activities.

  • Responsible for ordering club apparel.

Treasurer-Elect

  • Assist the Treasurer with club duties.

  • Assume responsibilities of the Treasurer if the Treasurer is unable to fulfill them.
