About Us

   Our Sociology and Social Work Organization has been in existence at the University
   of Wisconsin-Stevens Point since the 1987-1988 academic year.  The club is active
   in its attempts to pique the "sociological imagination" of the members.  The
   Sociology and Social Work Organization is a great way to get to know other students
   and professors in the Sociology department.  Examples of past and future events
   include guided tours, guest speakers, salvation army dinners, and other volunteer
   activities. Our organization is open to all UWSP students regardless of your major
   or minor.


  Our Purpose
  
   Pursuing the intellectual goals of the discipline of sociology, this includes both an
   in-depth study of sociological concepts and effecting sociological principles within
   the context of the larger society.
