Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Established in 1976, Student Legal Services
has provided legal services to eligible University of Wisconsin-Stevens
Point students. Student Legal Services is also available to educate
students on their legal rights and responsibilities and to provide them
with information in various areas. Student Legal Services has a small
library for students interested in law school.
Students interested in seeking legal advice, are encouraged to fill out
our online form or visit us in the Dreyfus University Center to schedule an appointment. Student Legal Society has provides to students interested in law school mock LSAT testing sessions and a wide range of LSAT material for students to checkout. Our Mission Statement states: "The purpose of the Student Legal Society (SLS) is to aid students interested in pursuing a legal career by providing assistance in preparing for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), applying to law schools, and by providing and maintaining a law school library. The SLS also aids the general student body by providing a Legal Services Office staffed by student volunteers and a local practicing attorney in order to advice and counsel students and to make them aware of their legal rights, privileges, duties, and by increasing the general political and legal awareness of the student body by providing speakers, seminars, and workshops." We currently only offer legal services to currently enrolled students. If you currently are not a student at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, please visit this site for a list of attorneys that may help you with your situation. |
