
SGA Shared Governance Scholarship
Purpose:
This award is to recognize the efforts of a continuing UWSP
student who has been actively involved in the concept of shared governance with
regard to the campus or surrounding community.
Shared governance is the philosophy that all those who are affected by decisions are active participants in making those decisions. The UW System is unique in that is has a system of shared governance established by state law 36.09(5). Students also have the opportunity to get involved with shared governance, in the context of community and local government involvement, in the same ways as any other citizen.

Award Amount:
Two scholarships of $500 each will be awarded annually in the spring. Distribution of the funds will be made in the fall of each year with $500 being applied directly to each recipients student account in the Bursar’s Office.
