Student Life Issues Committee

The Student Life Issues Committee shall consist of Senators and students from the UWSP student body, and shall be headed by the Student Life Issues Director.  The committee shall work in conjunction with SIEO as a resource for leadership development programs and training, to address the concerns of students, and student organizations.

The Student Life Issues Director pro-actively addresses health and safety issues on campus and in the community. They implement and enforce the Student Government Association student life policies. In collaboration with the Communication and Public Relations Director Send biweekly updates to the organizational lists about the proceedings of PACSO, SGA, as well as asking for questions and concerns. They coordinate, along with the Student Involvement and Employment Office, the re-recognition process for student organizations, and furthermore authenticate the re-recognition process. In addition they help to direct student organizations to programs from leadership development to addressing any concerns they may have. Another aspect is the work on outreach to the city to address policy issues that affect students and generally deal with any other campus problems that may occur that do not fall within the responsibility of the other directors. Finally the Student Life Issues Director is the co-chair of the Policy and Advisory Committee of Student Organizations known as PACSO, all major policy concerns for student organizations can be handled or aided in finding an answer and solution.
