Special Educators Mary Liebau and Stefanie Lewis shared some wonderful words of wisdom!

All attendees took part in a discussion where we were allowed be privy to the little "tricks of the trade" that our guest speakers were so graciously willing to share.

Organization, parent rapport, professionalism, and student rapport were just a few items addressed and discussed. The resounding comment of the evening:

Be flexible and remember you are there for your STUDENTS!
Mary Liebau teaches students with cognitive disabilities at PJ Jacobs Junior High in Stevens Point.

Stefanie Lewis teaches 8th grade special education at Amherst middle school.

 
Our guests had enthusiasm that was contagious!   Many questions were asked, and then answered with much insight and professionalism.
The evening ended at 6:30 p.m., with everyone receiving  some wonderful tips to use in in their future classrooms, as well as tummies full of some tasty treats provided by the SCEC officers and Dr. Bardon.
