For 2nd Semester, 06-07.

 1) Bhangra dance lessons by Dr. Devinder Sandhu

 Bhangra dance is dynamic Indian dance. It originated in Punjub, a large region in India. It is not only culturally significant, but provides an          excellent aerobic workout. It is a monthly event, held at HEC 154. Email us if interested.

2) World Poetry Festival - 1st April, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Lower Debot 073.

 This event showcases poetry from all over the world. Come enjoy this unique cultural treat. Or better yet, if you have a poem you would to       share, be a participant. Again, email us of your interest.

3) Portage County Cultural Festival - May 5th.

PCCF is a huge cultural event held at SPASH annually. SAS and SHAMA will have a booth. Please come support us. Or if you would like to volunteer, email us.

SHAMA is a non-profit charity organization founded by Dr. Jyoti Chander, who is an ex-Professor of Mathematics at UWSP. SAS is proud to work closely with SHAMA to help poor children and women in India. SAS and SHAMA value any kind of support that you may be able to provide.
