Minimum Premed Course Requirements
These
courses must be taken with a grade:
· English: English
101, 102
(UW-Madison recommends one year
of English, MCOW requires one year of English)
· Basic
Chemistry: Chemistry (114+115), 116 or Chemistry 105, 106 (if you have
had no high school chemistry)
· Organic
Chemistry: Chemistry 325, 326
· Biology: Biology
160 [zoology] and 285 [human physiology]
· Math: Math 111
[calculus survey] and/or Math 120 [calculus I] and/or Math 355 [statistics]
(One year of math is generally required)
· Physics: Physics
203, 204
· Enough
credits for Junior standing when applying to Medical Schools
(If
you have been given credit for AP courses taken in high school, you must
write a letter to the medical school the year you're applying to see if they
will allow the credits without taking the equivalent college course. Usually,
there is no problem with AP English credits.)

Premedical Winter Preceptorships: Biology
