Lambda Pi Eta Fact Sheet:

Attached to the email I sent you, is a copy of the Lambda Pi Eta fact sheet. Please read over the fact sheet, as it covers important aspects of Lambda Pi Eta (such as: What is Lambda Pi Eta?, What does Lambda Pi Eta do?, etc.) Please make a special reference to the first website listed under the Where can I get more information? section. This is our Honor Society’s website. Bookmark it and check it regularly. (http://www.uwsp.edu/stuorg/lpe/index.htm)

Points System Overview:

Also attached to the email I sent you, is a copy of the Point Sheet (a guide to how you can earn points in Lambda Pi Eta). The Point System is something we are going to start this semester, but because we are already well into the semester, we will implement in starting second semester. The Points System is a way to get members actively involved. All members need six points a semester, and if you cannot meet the requirement you will be placed on probation for a certain amount of time (not yet determined). You can see numerous ways to get points on the attached Point Sheet in the email, but something that we would like to stress is that you get two points for each meeting you attend. However, we understand that conflicts come up and you will not be able to make a meeting here and there. If this is the case, PLEASE email Jada Fenske (jfens438@uwsp.edu). Also know that if you miss a meeting and the two points for attending, there are various ways to make up those missed points.

At the end of the semester we hope to acknowledge the person with the most points. However, we will not do this until spring semester.

Induction:

The Induction Ceremony will be on Sunday, November 21, 2004 @ 1:00pm in the Alumni Room of the UC. The induction will last about an hour. Please wear an outfit you would wear to a business interview.

***This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT***

Please email me (Cschu702@uwsp.edu) the NAMES and ADDRESSES of who you would like to send a formal invitation to, to invite them to the Induction Ceremony. Everyone can request up to two invitations (there can be more than two people you are inviting, but no more than two addresses to where the invitations will be sent). I need these NAMES and ADDRESSES by Wednesday, November 10th!!! We not only need to send these invitations out, but we also would like to get an idea of how many chairs we need to set up for the ceremony.

If you cannot make it to the Induction Ceremony, that is fine. You will just need to pick up your (something) from Rhonda Sprague.

Sweatshirts:

A proof of the sweatshirt design will be sent out on e-mail. At that time we would like some feedback, and then hopefully put together a final draft. Just basics of the sweatshirt for those of you who missed the meeting: hooded, maroon, around $20.

Mentoring:

We want to start our mentoring program before registration is finished. If you signed up, or if you weren’t there and you would like to help out, we will have three mentoring sessions: Tuesday Nov. 16th @ 2 pm, and on that Wednesday @ 1 and @ 7:30pm. The meetings will last about a half hour. And we will let everyone know what room they will be held in ASAP.

Have a GREAT week everyone, and we hope to see you all at the Induction Ceremony on Sunday, November 21st @ 1:00pm!
