April 1st, 07 - The UW-Stevens Point Dawgs had their first game of the season against the Marquette Golden Eagles hosted at Minnesota State University. The Dawgs won in by far one of the most thrilling games in the programs history winning 10-9 in O.T.     

           According to the UMLL game description; "Very close game throughout. Weather and field conditions made the game very interesting, and a fun one to watch. The last two minutes saw Point go ahead by one, Marquette tie, Marquette go ahead by one, and Point score the tying goal with 6 seconds left in regulation. Point scores game winner in overtime. "
