GTU/ Geography Club Meeting Minutes  11/6/2006

                                                     Date: Monday, November 6, 2006

                                            Time: 1:00pm

                                            Officers Present: Brook Bonack (President), Nick Musson (Vice President), Alex Lawton (Treasurer),

                                                    Corinna Neeb (Secretary), and Dr. Eric Larsen (Advisor)

Events of the Semester:

Holiday Banquet:

• Thursday evening, November 30^th at 5:30pm

• It will be held at the Country Club in Stevens Point

• Appetizers will be provided

• Nick Musson will send an email out as to the exact menu and sign up details

Bowling Night:

• Brook called and got info from Skipps and Point Bowl  - both have open bowling on various nights

• She will call them again to try and get prices for pizza and bowling – will notify the club via email of her findings

Photo Contest:

• Brook will email Anna Hess to get things squared away to hold a contest yet this semester

Ideas for club events next semester:

• Snowshoeing part of the Ice Age Trail

• Coordinating an outing with the UW-La Crosse Geography Club

Club Email

• Currently no GTU officer can log into our GTU email account so we have to forward all emails to Diane to send out to the majors/minors

• Will email geography student who works at Help Desk for assistance in getting problem rectified

Meetings:

• Next meeting will be on Monday, November 20^th, in room B347 at 1:00pm
