Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) is an international honor society in geography; founded in 1928 the society became a national organization in 1931.  GTU members must meet academic requirements and have and interest in geography.  Members of the society work together to further professional interest in Geography, strengthen student and professional training, advance the status of Geography as a cultural and practical discipline, encourage student research of high quality, and create and administer funds for furthering graduate study and research in the field of Geography.

The Geography Club encourages, plans and funds trips, mostly around Wisconsin, including camping, hiking, and canoeing, as well as bowling and bonfire activities within Stevens Point.
