Lake Superior
Fisheries and Limnology majors at UWSP typically enroll in Fisheries Research class, where students are introduced to the scientific writing process. Part of this class involves a unique field trip to Lake Superior where students learn how to set and lift gill nets. This demonstration takes place aboard a WDNR Research vessel in Chequamegon Bay. Fisheries Research is only offered during the fall semester.
