For UWSP Students:
The sign up sheet will be in the office.  Stop by and talk with an officer to sign up.  In order to sign up, you must have turned in proof of successful completion (certificates) of S-130, S-190, L-180, and I-100.  If you have already turned in copies of these for your file, contact
jgopl491@uwsp.edu or stop by the office) and we will check to verify it.  If you are currently in the Fall FOR 224 fire class, and are interested in taking this course, contact Jacob Goplin and we will discuss the details of registration.

The course seat availability must have a minimum of 10 and maximum of 30 students.  Course slots will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis once all prerequisite materials and course fees have been turned in.


Course Description

This course covers aircraft types and capabilities, aviation management and safety for flying in

and working with agency aircraft, tactical and logistical uses of aircraft, and requirements for

helicopter take-off and landing areas. Note: The regulations, procedures and policies addressed

in this course are primarily those governing federal agency and ICS operations. State, county, or

other political subdivisions using this course will need to consult their agency having jurisdiction

with respect to regulations, procedures and policies.
