First off, I'm canceling practice tomorrow (Monday, June 22nd). Enjoy your day off and I hope to see you on Thursday!
Secondly, Nick Gengler fenced yesterday at the Summer Solstice D & Under hosted at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay. He took 3rd out of 7 and brought home a bronze medal. Way to go Nick! For complete results, check them out here.
A few weeks ago there was a fencing fatality in Poland. This has generated a fair bit of buzz lately on the Fencing.net forums. If you are interested in finding out more, check out the links to the two threads below.

If anyone has any questions about the care we take in the Club gear, purchasing gear, or general fencing safety questions, I am happy to answer them.
Summer fencing is off to a great start! We've had three practices so far and many more to come. We'll be hosting practices every Mondy and Thursday from 6 to 8pm in HEC 110 through the end of July. I've been trying to cater lessons specifically to the needs of the fencers who show up.
