EAGLE WALK

THE PRACTICE WALK

Hello Eagle Walkers!!!

In preparation for the Eagle walk, we do two practice Eagle Walks.  This year's practice walks will take place on March 1st and 2nd and on March 8th and 9th.  If you want to do the Eagle Walk, we ask that you participate in at least one of the practice walks.

The practice walks take two days.  On the first day, we walk 20 miles to either Amherst or Nelsonville.  We stay overnight at a local church that is generous enough to let us use their basement, and return to Stevens Point on foot the next day.
What are the advantages to going on the practice walks, you might ask? First of all, it's a great way to test yourself and get in shape for the walk. It will help to break in your shoes, feel the weight of your pack, and meet the other Eagle Walkers!

If you have any questions, PLEASE email us!!
