ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY

Four times a year we drive out to a section of the highway around Stevens Point and pick up litter.  We have found quite a variety of interesting garbage during these trips, including dead animals in potato chip bags, mesh underwear, and a check from 1928 for one dollar.  These trips are always interesting!

Stacy, Jerry, Alissa, Ashley, Katie, Kelly, Cora, and LIsa (taking the photo) get ready for their first Adopt-A-Highway of the year.

Stacy, Kelly, Cora, Jerry, Katie, Ashley, and Alissa show off their bags o'trash...it's amazing what people throw out of their windows!

Jerry, Katie, and Ashley debate the problem of plastic gloves and the lack thereof.

Cora shows off the black mesh thong she found on the side of the road.
