UWSP’s Environmental Council was awarded the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education’s 1998 Earthguard Award for student leadership in developing and conducting outstanding environmental action projects.

EC Officers

 The UW-Stevens Point Environmental Council is a student organization dedicated to raising environmental awareness on the campus, community, and global level.  Our objectives include:
  • Educating ourselves and the public about environmental issues
  • Raising money for environmental causes
  • Lobbying for environmentally sound legislation
  • Initiating eco-friendly changes locally and on-campus

Whenever possible we work with campus government, other student organizations, local businesses, and the community at large to accomplish our objectives.
