About Us

The Women's Resource Center of Stevens Point, Wisconsin dedicates itself to educating and raising awareness on gender and women's issues.  We achieve this ongoing objective by sponsoring and facilitating programs and activities, providing relevant literature and working with an active group of devoted volunteers.

We have an extensive library containing books, magazines and information on a range of gender issues available to be checked out.  Our office provides a comfortable and relaxed center to gather information for classes, catch up on current developments in gender issues, or simply read for pleasure from our selection of fiction.  An online catalog of our library will be available soon!

The Women's Resource Center is funded annually through the Student Government Association and is staffed by students.

Dana Smith Executive Coordinator	Dana Smith is a person. She has five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot. Her hobbies include poetry, playing music, turning everyday conversations into musicals, and laughing. Born into a trinity of sisters Dana is a natural born feminist with strong beliefs in gender equity.  She is a fun loving person and always willing to lend an ear.
Jen Boyd Volunteer Coordinator	Jenn Boyd is a senior majoring in Poltical Science and minoring in Religious Studies and Women Studies.  She has been in Vagina Monologues for the last three years and is super stoked to be the Volunteer Coordinator for the WRC this year!  She enjoys old movies and inappropriate conversations, and hates small talk.  She also likes puppies and long walks on the beach.  Don't hesitate to stop and say hi if you see her on campus!
Clarissa McCann Outreach Coordinator	Clarissa McCann is a sophomore at UWSP. She is majoring in 2-D Art and loves Hello Kitty. Her home town is Milwaukee, but is in love with Stevens Point. When she isn't trying to study and going to classes, she being awsome. Other pass times that she enjoys are playing Dance Dance Revolution, listening to music, socializing, and giving big smiles and hugs to the world.
