International Programs can help you become a “citizen of the world"--and we want you to know about the advantages of studying abroad.  Read how are alumni testify to the long-term advantages of international study, and check out our study abroad frequently asked questions.

What are your thoughts about studying abroad?  We want to know how best to serve students, and to that end we have developed the following survey:  http://survey.uwsp.edu/TakeSurvey.aspx?SurveyID=9l0J9n3.   It only takes a few minutes.  A few of the questions may seem a bit "leading," but please know that your responses to them will help us tremendously!

Navigating through our site is made simple with the navigation located on the left side of the screen. Simply click on the section you wish to go to. If you're interested in what programs we offer we recommend starting with our Destinations page. Here you will find information on all of our current programs.

International Programs also maintains a reference section to assist students in finding credible alternatives for students whose schedules and/or interests require them to seek study or tours run by other institutions. A good place to start is by visiting the unofficial UW-System Study Abroad website.

We are open year-round, Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30 p.m. We do not close for winter, spring or summer breaks.

To see a list for all meetings planned, site-specific and general,  click here. To view a short video about International Programs click here.

We hope you enjoy our site and feel free to email us with any comments or questions.

Apply Now for Winterim, Spring and Spring Break 2008/09 Programs!

Spring 2008/09  programs are filling fast, but as of today we still have room for you in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Hungary, Germany and France. There are also a FEW spots in Britain.

Click here for current application deadline dates.

Passports and Visas

It is important that you apply for your passport now. If you have one already, be sure it is valid for at least 6 months after the date of your planned return to the States. Find out more about obtaining your passport and then visit the Department of State to get the official form.

Are you from a state other than Wisconsin or Minnesota?

If so, we have great news for you! UWSP has lowered the out-of-state surcharges to $250-500 for short-term programs and $1000 for semesters abroad -- that makes our trips some of the best bargains in study abroad anywhere!

Looking for scholarships to help pay for your trip?

International Programs Scholarship Endowment scholarships available for all programs beginning from the summer of 2007. These are given to UWSP students based on several factors, but merit, rather than need, is a hallmark for these scholarships. UWSP continuing students are strongly encouraged to apply.
