NO GERMAN LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Are you interested in studying in Germany but not able to speak German?  Consider participating in one of five International Summer Universities in the German State of Hessen. All five programs offer credit in German language courses at various levels.  In addition, participants on each program select a 3-credit seminar course taught in English; topics and program dates vary depending on the University. This is a great experience and a great deal!

Eligibility

All college students in good academic standing are eligible to apply, regardless of their major/minor.

Costs

Approximately $1500.00.  This program includes the academic program, housing, some meals, excursions, UW-System insurance and social and cultural programming.  UWSP students DO NOT pay Euro program fee listed on program websites; what you pay to the UWSP International Programs Office covers all included items.   Cost does not include international airfare, personal spending money, meals (that are not included in program fee) and your passport.  Contact UWSP International Programs to register.  Financial Aid students are usually eligible for more loan funds to help pay for their study abroad program.


Classes and Credits

International Studies 391 for 3 credits and Foreign Language 100 for 3 credits.  A total of 6 credits is awarded. 

Withdrawal

Up to ten weeks before the start of the program, all fees except the initial deposit will be refunded for withdrawal. After that time, airline and housing cancellation charges will be assessed.  If the program must be canceled, all fees will be refunded.  Because exchange rates and airline prices fluctuate, International Programs reserves the right to cancel, surcharge, or alter the program.  No refund is available after departure
