The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point provides extraordinary study programs to those wishing an education beyond the bounds of the classroom or campus.  Since 1969 both the Spring and the Fall Britain programs have allowed students to experience Britain, and especially London. This is your chance to become a University of London student with all the privileges that affords you. There is no better way to bolster your résumé.

 

Application Deadline:  April 1 (spring semester)/March 1 (fall semester) of the prior academic year for guaranteed consideration; though late applications can sometimes be accommodated. Please check with the International Programs Office for available positions.

Eligibility

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors from all disciplines with academic focus, maturity, motivation, and an international perspective. 

 

Cost Includes:

  • 14-15 Week Academic Program.
  • Air Travel, Chicago-London (arrangements can be made to depart from other major airports). Return from continental Europe in the Spring, London in the Fall.
  • Sponsored entry tour of England to include stops such as Bath, Wells, Stonehenge, Canterburty, Hastings, Dover, Salisbury and Brighton. 
  • Room in central London, breakfasts, and most lunches and suppers: International Student House: ISH.
  • UWSP tuition for Wisconsin Residents (Minnesota students qualify for reciprocity, surcharge for other out-of-staters pay ONLY $1,000).
  • UW-System Mandatory Health/Travel Insurance.
  • Plan your budget to cover: passport, personal expenses and fees for classes such as Drama.

Entry/Exit Itinerary

At the beginning of each term students will participate in an inclusive, week-long study tour to highlight some of southern England's most historic sites.   Accommodations in youth hostels, travel by train and/or bus.


Classes

Classes are held on the University of London Birkbeck campus in the very heart of London.  Classes are taught by University of London faculty.

Special Offers

A second semester option based in Szeged, Hungary will also be available. For fulltime Wisconsin resident tuition and room and board this trip will come in at approximately $5,800-6,300! See UWSP International Programs Staff for details.
