UW-Stevens Point is joining the National
Student Exchange (NSE)!
We have become
part of a consortium of nearly 200 colleges and universities in the United
States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Through NSE, UW-Stevens Point
students will be able to spend a year, or a semester, at another university
while paying UW-Stevens Point tuition and accessing their financial aid and scholarships.
This makes the experience VERY affordable.
NSE offers study opportunities at diverse
university settings and provides access to a wide array of courses and
programs; field experiences, co-op, and internship options; and resident
assistant, honors, and study abroad opportunities of its member campuses.
Work completed while on exchange at the host campus is brought back to UW-Stevens Point and
credited to the student's degree program. UW-Stevens Point has a coordinating office
(International Programs / IP) which interacts on behalf of incoming and
outgoing students with other member campuses and with various departments here
The values that guide NSE in meeting the diverse needs of students,
coordinators, and member institutions are: excellence in our performance,
sensitivity, respect, cooperation, and service to member institutions and their
Applications are available now. The first application deadline
will be December 1, 2014 for students wishing to spend semester of year in the
NSE from the fall of the 2015/16 academic year.

Students often ask about
working while doing a semester abroad. In general, that is not possible.
However, if you wish to investigate this on your own here is a good
place to start.
In addition, for future international employment, contacting the UWSP Career Services Office is a good idea:
