Students are expected to commit
themselves to maintain satisfactory academic progress. Part
of this commitment REQUIRES Upward Bounders to attend
workshops and other activities during the school year.
Program staff meet with students once a week at their
school. Also, students must attend tutorial sessions IF needed.
Summer session attendance is required
for newly admitted students and may be required for other
students based on their needs. Students
must abide by rules and regulations governing student
conduct and the rights of others. In return, Upward Bound
gives its students the opportunity to grow, learn, and
most importantly, attend a college or university of their
choice. Over 90% Upward Bound graduates enrolled in a college
or university of their choice in 2007! Only 35% of these same
students would have attended college without Upward Bound's help! |
