Financial Aid Exit Interview

If you were the recipient of a Stafford educational loan while at UWSP, you will be sent an email message that links you to an on-line exit loan counseling presentation. You will be given information about the repayment process and linked to your own personal loan history. You will learn what is expected of you and what options are available to you as you make plans to meet your loan obligation. When you finish viewing the presentation, you will be asked to provide contact information that will be sent to the institution which services your loan. It is a federal requirement that all Stafford loan borrowers go through this exit counseling process.

If you were the recipient of a Perkins loan from UW-Stevens Point, you will be contacted by the Perkins Loan Office to set up your loan repayment schedule.

Graduation Day: What to do, what to expect

Hooding.jpg (17005 bytes)

Candidates for graduation should report to the indoor track area of the Health Enhancement Center (HEC) at least one hour prior to the ceremony in which they will be participating. When you arrive at the HEC, please complete a name card (you will carry this with you into the ceremony). After you have completed your card, find your place in the graduate line. Graduates line up by college and degree in alphabetical order. Signs will be posted to help you find your place.

A student marshal will lead you from the indoor track area to the Specht Forum about fifteen minutes before the ceremony begins. After our keynote speaker and student speaker have completed their presentations, the dean of your college will ask graduates in your college to stand. The chancellor will make a conferral statement. You will then be seated until you are released by row to take the stage and receive your diploma cover.

After receiving your diploma cover, please return to your seat.

Length of Program

Each ceremony will last approximately 1 1/2  to 2 hours.

Parking

All campus parking lots will be open - see the campus map.
