Concentration in Applied Sociology

In addition to a major in Sociology a student may select a concentration in Applied Sociology consisting of a minimum of 16 credits.   Of the 16 credits, there are 10 required credits listed below and 6 elective credits can be taken from one of the Emphases.  

Required Courses:

• Sociology 327 - Social Inequality
• Sociology 340 - Community Research
• Sociology 492/3 - Applied Sociology Practicum and Seminar in an Appropriate Setting
