The office of Safety and Loss Control provides risk management services at UWSP. The goal of the office is to protect the University from various sources of loss or damage that could affect overall stability. Responsibilities include implementing risk management policies and procedures, administering risk control techniques, procuring special insurance programs, advising on contractual language and forms, providing in-depth property and liability claims reporting, investigation, and administration, delivering risk education and training, determining liability coverage, reviewing capital equipment and property control inventories, identifying loss exposures, recommending solutions, and promoting loss prevention initiatives. This office works in conjunction with UWSA Office of Safety and Loss Prevention to administer risk management with the ultimate goal of preservation of assets and protection of personnel for the successful continuation of campus operations and promotion of a safe environment.
