Hundreds
of Army ROTC cadets take advantage of the CULP program every year to
travel the Earth. Select cadets have the opportunity to experience
different cultures, learn new customs, and achieve a greater
understanding of our world view. The Army recognizes the need for
leaders to adapt in different cultures and develop foreign language
skills. In typical classroom settings, cadets cannot hope to achieve the
full experience of another culture without actually being immersed
within the country.
The CULP program allows cadets to compete for immersion in more
than 30 countries. These experiences increase their language
proficiency, cultural understanding, and help produce leaders of the
future for the U.S. Army.
