We’re delighted that you are considering UWSP as your school and making the residence halls your home.
As a reminder, the UW System Board of Regents requires that all freshmen and sophomores at four-year UW institutions live in residence halls. Here at UW-Stevens Point, we interpret the freshman and sophomore years to be the first two years immediately following your graduation from high school. Additional information on the policy can be found here.
Shortly after you receive your acceptance letter from the Admissions Office, your name will be sent to our office (it takes about 2-3 weeks for this to occur). We will then mail you a housing packet. The packet has a viewbook that gives you information about living in the halls as well as a contract and contract acceptance form.
Information is included about residence hall living options and rooms as well as information about meal plans.
Read the information thoroughly before completing your acceptance form. This is the information we use in making your assignment!
A $125 housing prepayment is required when you submit your housing/dining application form. This prepayment is applied to your second semester housing costs. A portion of it is refundable if you cancel your housing contract on or before July 1 prior to the fall you will be joining us (December 15 for those applying for the spring semester).
The cost for your room plan and meal plan are finalized in the summer before you attend. We do have the price for the current academic year posted here.
Single rooms are available each semester on a space-available basis. This determination is made during week 3 of every semester.
