Semester Abroad Students
Students Participating in International Programs (Semester Abroad)
must complete a housing contract and pay a $125 for the semester they
wish to secure on-campus housing -- either in advance of departure or
while they are gone.
Contract forms are available from the Residential Living Office, 601 Division Street Building. Individuals who are studying abroad for the fall semester should submit a housing contract (and $125 prepayment) not later than December 1 prior to the spring term they are seeking housing.
Individuals who are studying abroad for the spring semester should submit a housing contract (and $125 prepayment) not later than June 1 prior to the fall term they are seeking housing.
Residential Living will give you some additional priority in your
assignment consideration (ahead of transfer and new freshmen). You may
either have a friend who is currently living in the halls request you as
a roommate (they receive detailed instructions in their hall sign-up
packets) or you can enclose a letter with your housing application. In
your letter, please indicate that you are participating in the
International Programs and provide details of your assignment
preference(s). You may be as specific as providing a room number, but
please allow for some leeway (you might say that you want to be on the
3rd floor of Baldwin Hall, quiet wing preferred, for instance). We will
do our best to match your request.
Single rooms are available each semester on a space-available basis. This determination is made during week 3 of every semester.
Need a contract and you're already out of the States? We will be happy to mail one to you. Simply contact us and provide us with a mailing address.
