Veterans Applying for Admissions
We are glad that you have decided to attend UW-Stevens Point!
Here are some steps to take to help you with the process:
Apply for Admissions - We begin accepting applications on September 15 of the current year for the next year’s fall admission and February 15 for the next year’s spring admission. UWSP does not publish a specific application deadline date. Because enrollment limits are in effect, admission may become more restrictive as we approach our limits. Early application is recommended. Please call 715-346-2441 for more information.
Visit Ann Whipp, Veteran Coordinator, to learn about and apply for your veterans educational benefits. You can drop in (101 SSC) or set up an appointment by calling 715-346-3237. You’ll want to bring your DD214 and/or Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE), and kicker contract with you. Veteran Services website.
Apply for Financial Aid - Financial aid awards can help bridge the fiscal gap between semesters. Many of our student veterans have received grants to attend school.
Military Credit - You may be eligible to receive credit for your military service.
Parking Permits - There are various parking lots on campus for students to use once a permit has been purchased. Student parking permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will be mailed to your home address in mid-August. Parking permits may be ordered through Parking Services.
- Campus Housing - You can explore off-campus housing availability or on-campus housing options through Residential Living. Note: All of the residence halls at UWSP are designed to accommodate individuals; we do not have family or married couple housing. The information above regarding off-campus housing will offer you the most up-to-date information available on housing within the Stevens Point community.
