When you see a class that you wanted is closed,
you can conduct a quick search within the web
registration system to find and ADD open courses that
will fit into your schedule. View the following video

Swap courses before you
drop them
When you need to replace one course in your
schedule for another, don't risk losing your class while
trying to search for another one to add - use the
"swap" feature instead. Swap will hold your
current class until you can add your replacement class.
