UWSP Logon Account Management

Can't Logon, Forgot Your Password

Can't logon.  When logging on to web applications, passwords are CASE SENSITIVE.  Make sure you are entering upper and lower case letters like you did when you set up your password.  Still can't logon! Answer the two questions below to start solving your problem.

Forgot your password.  Providing you have answered the identifying questions you can reset your password.  Keep in mind the following when choosing a new password:

Password Rules:

  1. Your password must NOT contain any part of your logon name
  2. Your password must NOT contain your first or last name
  3. Your password must be at least 8 characters long
  4. Your password must contain characters from three of the following four "classes":
    • UPPERCASE letters (A-Z)
    • Lowercase letters (a-z)
    • Numbers (0-9)
    • Non-alphanumeric special characters (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, etc.).
  5. You cannot use the same password as you used before (the system remembers your last 12).
  6. Capitalization matters.  Remember if you use upper or lower case.  (mypoint.uwsp.edu, OWA and other web services are CASE SENSITIVE.)

Attention MAC users:  If you log on to MAC computers on-campus please be aware that a technical issue currently prevents the usage of special characters in your password.  When setting your password please use a combination of UPPERCASE letters, lowercase letters, and numbers.  Please do NOT use special characters in your password.

Directions:  enter your UWSP logon name, and then click on the Submit button.

What is your UWSP logon name?

You are new and you don’t know your logon and password.  For students see: New Student Information page.  Faculty and staff see: New Faculty and Staff Information page.

You don’t have a logon account and password.  The solution is to register for classes and then activate your account the next day.
