In general, all
the guidelines presented in this publication regarding the logo, athletic
identifiers, colors, etc. apply to any sign that officially represents UWSP.
These may be:
In buildings
On buildings
Next to buildings
On vehicles
Campus map signs
Street banners
Banners at events (athletic or otherwise)
Friz Quadrata, the signature font, may be used for limited text; otherwise
Helvetica (a national standard for signs) or an equivalent font provides the
best readability.
Contact the publications coordinator for approval of all new sign design and
layout. Current permanent signage is exempt. However, when such items need
to be replaced, compliance with campus standards will be anticipated.
Contact the director of Facilities Planning to make arrangements for placement
and installation of permanent exterior signs. University policy states that
permanent exterior signs list the official name of the building only, not
the names of offices or activities housed inside the building.
