Children in the U.S. now spend more time viewing TV than they spend in any other activity except sleeping, notes a report In Pediatric News.

According to the medical journal, by the time today's child or teenager reaches age 70 he or she will have spent seven years in front of the TV set.

For every anti-drug announcement seen by a teenager on television, adds the publication, he or she will see 25 to 50 beer or wine advertisements.
