Frank Spindler Award

The dedicated recipient of two graduate degrees from Harvard, Frank Spindler began teaching at UW-SP in 1901. During his time here, he coached football and held numerous offices as a Mason. Spindler was also a Chairman of a faculty committee on Alumni Relations and the treasurer of the Student Loan Fund. He continued to work as an educator until his death in 1935. In honor of this exceptional man, the Frank Spindler Perception Laboratory was dedicated in 1977. The Frank N. Spindler Award for Scholastic Achievement at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point was begun in 1981 and is given to the Senior Psychology Major with the highest overall GPA.
