Dennis Elsenrath Scholarship

Dennis Elsenrath received his Doctorate from Indiana University in 1970. After completing that piece of his education, he began working for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, first as a staff psychologist, and currently as a professor. He is a former Chair of the Department of Psychology. As an educator, Elsenrath is a two-time recipient of the University Excellence in Teaching Award, in 1992 and 1999. Not only has he spent his time dedicated to UWSP, but he has practiced psychology privately in the community for 28 years. His list of credentials and honors continues to grow. Married, with two children, Dr. Elsenrath enjoys traveling, athletics, gardening, and good humor. The Dennis Elsenrath Scholarship for Scholarship, Leadership, Service in the Helping Professions, and a Commitment to a Wellness Lifestyle began in 1998.
